Belinda is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Clinical Practice (Research) at the University of Exeter, UK, focusing on research in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Belinda has completed her Master of Counselling at Monash University, Australia. She was also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) , Gottman Method Couples Therapy and the Schema Therapy. She is an associate Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner (ABNLP) and completed an accredited Professional Life Coach Certification & Guide Program. Belinda is currently a Wellness Consultant at The Lion Mind, a nonprofit organisation that raises mental health awareness across the region. She has worked with broad spectrum of groups in her counselling practicum including elderly at All Saints Home and Youth-at-Risk Empowerment Program at CARE.

Prior to psychotherapy and counselling work, Belinda has over a decade of work experience in the banking and finance industry including HSBC Private Bank, Bank of Singapore and Credit Suisse. Working in this industry has helped her a lot in empathising the stress and anxiety that corporate world entails. In addition, Belinda also recognises the struggles and challenges associated with adjustment process having lived in different cities including Singapore, Hong Kong and London. Aside of counselling work, Belinda has been conducting mental health and self-care workshops for corporates and startups, as well as talks for school audiences. Recently, Belinda has been engaging with various awareness campaigns through podcast, panel discussion events and article writing for media and publication.

Belinda has a particular interest in supporting people who are struggling with family and relationship issues. She provides counselling, psychotherapy and life & career coaching to individual adults, adolescents, couples and families on various issues including but not limited to anxiety, trauma / PTSD, depression, grief, anger, behavioural issues, negative thoughts, self esteem issues, stress, life and career transitions, identity issues, relationship and family issues. She adopts an integrated and person-centered therapeutic approach to her counselling, using concepts from cognitive behavioural, emotion-focused, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, open discussions where appropriate. She is fluent in English & Cantonese, and conversational in Mandarin.
Belinda is a registered level 3 Practitioner with The Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore (Membership# A0280) and a Full Member at The Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (Membership# M1753).
